About the Author
Cara Kuma Kinté is a writer, memoirist, and storyteller based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her work is rooted in personal truth, emotional resilience, and a deep commitment to helping others reclaim their voice.
Her debut memoir, Born of Angels and Demons is a powerful reflection on survival, identity, and transformation. It follows Cara’s journey from a challenging childhood in Douala, Cameroon, through three continents, shaped by faith, family, and a relentless hope for a better future. The book shows how—despite where we come from—our choices define who we become.
Cara is also working on her second book, African Disease, a bold and unflinching exploration of the social and systemic forces that shape human behavior. A mother, immigrant, and visionary, she draws inspiration from lived experience and aims to inspire others, one story at a time.
Cara holds a master’s degree in software development from Strayer University.
