Writing as a Long-Distance Run

I’ve always known I’m a long-distance runner.

Not just physically but in how I love, heal, and create.

Writing has never been a sprint for me. It’s a steady rhythm of breath, patience, and trust. Some miles are quiet. Some are painful. Some feel effortless. All of them count.

Endurance teaches you to listen to your body, your spirit, and your timing. You learn when to push and when to rest.

The same is true for creative work and personal growth.

You don’t have to exhaust yourself to prove devotion. You have to stay present long enough to finish.
